Our Story

Founded in 2017 by former competitive swimmer Emma Richardson, AquaLux was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to create swimwear that combines the performance demands of professional athletes with the elegance desired by fashion-conscious women. Emma's years of experience in competitive swimming taught her exactly what makes a swimsuit truly exceptional, from the quality of fabrics to the precision of construction.

What started as a small design studio in London has grown into a beloved brand trusted by thousands of women across the UK and Europe. Our success stems from an unwavering commitment to three core principles: premium quality materials, impeccable craftsmanship, and timeless designs that flatter every body type. We believe that every woman deserves to feel her absolute best when wearing our swimwear, whether she's training for a triathlon or relaxing on a Mediterranean beach.

Our Philosophy

At AquaLux, we reject the notion that swimwear should be disposable or compromise on quality. Each piece in our collection is designed to last for years, maintaining its shape, color, and support through countless wears and washes. We source our fabrics exclusively from premium Italian and Spanish manufacturers who share our commitment to excellence and sustainability.

Our design process is meticulous and customer-focused. We conduct extensive wear-testing with women of all ages, sizes, and activity levels to ensure our swimsuits perform beautifully in real-world conditions. From the chlorine-resistant fabrics we use to the reinforced stitching techniques borrowed from professional athletic wear, every detail is carefully considered to deliver exceptional value and longevity.

Sustainability Commitment

We recognize our responsibility to protect the oceans and beaches we all love. That's why 40% of our current collection is manufactured using ECONYL regenerated nylon, made from recycled fishing nets and other ocean plastic waste. By 2026, we're committed to making our entire collection from sustainable materials while maintaining the premium quality our customers expect.

Our packaging is 100% recyclable, and we've eliminated single-use plastics from our supply chain. We partner with Ocean Conservation Trust, donating 2% of our annual profits to support marine protection initiatives and beach cleanup programs across the UK.
